Voyager Academy won their first state championship in school history as they powered past Winston-Salem Prep 69-56 in the NCHSAA 1A Men’s State Championship Game.

The Vikings got 19 points from Collin Faucette, as he went 3 for 5 from beyond the arc. Faucette was dubbed the Viking’s Most Outstanding Player. As a team, Voyager on the game shot 42.9% from three-point range, hitting a total of six on the day.

Voyager dominated the game inside, holding a 52-37 edge on the glass and the Vikings owe much of that to Coach’s son, Jay Huff who had a double-double 14 points and 14 rebounds. He was named the game’s Most Valuable Player.
